Concrete Inspection
Subtronic is able to perform two types of concrete inspection services for our clients, and those are:
- Ground Penetrating Radar Concrete Scanning
- SE/IR Pile Integrity and Length Testing
GPR concrete scanning is a low energy non-destructive detection method that can locate rebar, post tension cables, and conduits in concrete without requiring local evacuation (like x-ray testing)./
GPR emits approximately about as much electromagnetic radiation (as microwaves) as a cell phone (unrelated to x-ray radiation).
SE/IR Pile integrity and length testing can be used to determine the integrity and length of piles (wood, concrete, round steel pipe). The SE/IR system Subtronic owns is small, rugged, and easily deployed, and is accurate to within 5% in determining foundation depth.
