Similar to Vacuum Excavation, Hydro-excavation uses a combination of vacuum and high pressure water to excavate in a wide variety of soil conditions. Hydro -excavation is suited to safely digging or exposing utilities in large areas or where utilities are deeper than what can be found using vacuum excavation. The hydro -excavator uses high volume, high pressure water in combination with a large 6" vacuum tube to quickly and precisely trench or expose underground utilities.
